IMPORTANT NOTICES:
HEADS
UP - There has
been a new sighting of a mountain lion at Traylor
Ranch this morning, March 30. People need to be
aware. Anywhere deer can be found it is in the
territory of a mountain lion.
People
need to be aware of how to act around a mountain
lion. Here is a good reference.

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Happy Easter everyone! It has been a beautiful March and
I was lucky enough to be able to spend several days out on
the trails enjoying the lovely weather. I know we need the
rain, but in the meantime, no reason not to enjoy these
unseasonably warm and nice spring days.
We had a great turnout for our Cow Clinic 101 and 102.
Thanks to all of you who attended and thanks to Elliott and
Kathy Roberts for conducting it, and Debbie Murphy for
putting it all together. I had the opportunity to at-tend
and although my horse was pretty timid when first seeing the
cattle, by the end of the clinic he was herding and cutting
them like a pro. Too bad those scary rocks and boulders
along the trails we usually ride don't move out of the way
like the cattle. Making those cattle move away from him made
him a pretty bold pony.
Just a reminder that coming up on Sunday, April 12 we
will present Intro-duction
to Dressage for Every Discipline with
Marty Courtney at the arena. This will be our general
meeting for the month instead of our usual 3rd Wednesday
meeting. Then the following week, on April 19 we will have a
cattle sorting clinic. Be sure to mark your calendars and
contact Debbie to sign up and bring your horse to either or
both of these clinics. Space will be limited, so be sure to
sign up early. If you can't bring your horse to our general
membership meeting on the 12th, come and join us to audit
the clinic. Looking forward to seeing many of you there.
Also, be sure to bring any ideas you may have for future
meetings or clinics which you would like to see your
organization undertake.

PLEASE NOTE: LBHA
DID NOT HAVE A BOOTH AT HORSE EXPO in 2014,
DUE TO THE COSTS. LBHA TALKED ABOUT RETURNING WITH A BOOTH BUT MAYBE SHARE
A BOOTH WITH ANOTHER LIKE TRAIL ORGANIZATION. WE NEED
YOUR THOUGHTS AND MAYBE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS OF
ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE OUR GOALS, THAT WE COULD TALK TO
ABOUT BOOTH SHARING. .......
