California Lifeline — Affordable Phone and Internet, For Those Who Qualify
Reliable phone and internet service shouldn’t be out of reach. The California Lifeline program helps qualifying households save money on their monthly phone or internet bill — and South Valley Internet is proud to participate.
What Is California Lifeline?
California Lifeline is a state and federal program that provides a discount on home phone or home internet service for qualifying low-income households. The discount can combine the federal Lifeline benefit with California’s state subsidy for a combined savings of up to about $21.90 per month. Beginning in 2026, California also launched a new Home Broadband Pilot Program, a three-year initiative designed to expand Lifeline-style discounts specifically to home internet service.
The discount applies to one phone line or one internet connection per household.
